A name?

I tried to move but in vain. 

She finally said, "Give me your name."

"Linda. I live down the street." 

She said some gibberish and suddenly my whole life appeared in front of her just like a movie. 

She sat down and sighed.

I couldn't resist myself and asked, "Are you the witch everyone talks about in the town? By the way, what's your name?"

"Rene"

All of a sudden, Rene's expression changed. "But, how can you.. I mean how come you could enter my house."

What was it about? Why couldn't I enter her house? Was it something related to magic or was it really a different realm?
